Baduk

She succeeded in being a pro player at the age of 14, in 2002. Though she was   younger than the average age of new pro players, no one regarded it as an ‘accident’. ‘Cause she had already won the biggest championship, the amateur female kuksu cup and was well known as a promising player.

After that she reached several main tournaments, but didn’t perform as well as others expected her to do. Yet, she won a title with outstanding performance, beating Park Ji Eun and Kim Hye Min in 2005. Also she got the nickname of ‘the first and the last Queen’ of baduk players, because the ‘Queen’ title tournament held only once and vanished. Recently, she has entered Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and been studying Japanese for her major.

Personality

She is witty and playful. It is quite fun talking with her, because she knows a lot of news of many pro players and is friendly. Also she is good at leading people to join the conversation, and it is definitely useful skill when you talk with pro players. (Not many pro players are talkative) Oh, just in case if you had a chance to see her and want to get her attention, give her a pineapple. She is mad about it.    

Hobbies

She likes reading books, playing the guitar, table tennis and bowling. When I asked her about most important things in her life, one of her answers was ‘People’. She said she wanted to keep good relationships with everyone who is valuable to her. In addition, She goes skiing in winter and used to swim in summer.
