Hello everyone!

        Welcome to Star Baduk. I'm so happy to have you.

        This page means a lot to me. The first motivation was my visit to Europe about 2 and a half years ago, experiencing Western baduk status which is short of books, teachers and information. When I was in Europe, many local players often tried to talk to me but I couldn't understand them because of the language barrier. However I could feel that they were curious to know about professional life, Baduk(Go) and Korean Baduk society. I really wanted to explain what I know but my short English didn't allow me. Consequently it made me determind to study English hard.

        I have heard from Hye-Yeon that her blog 'Full of surprises' closed recently. She was passionate, but as a larger number of foreign players visited and asked her many things, it gave her too much pressure. It was when I was preparing this and it made me hesitate for a while. First, I was wondering if I would spend as much time as I should. (Hye Yeon said it takes more time than you can expect) Second, I realized once I start it, I should take the resposibility of doing my best as long as this is not only for myself. 

        Afterward, yet, I decided to try it. I know it will be challIenging but I will at least get many friends and experiences through it. To make it happen, I don't want to tell you all the time alone, but talk with you. Which means I'd like to listen to you too. Although this is just personal page, It doesn't necessarily mean that it should be a one way conversation. I hope you to let me know who you are, How you think and your special episodes about baduk, etc.

       Last, I want to express my gratitude to my dad for his hard working on this page, professor Hahn Sang Dae and Park Hwa Seo who have taught me English for years and my dear friends who always give me warm support.
