Just try to look at the green light. It is an easy surgery. You dont have to get nervous.

What happens if I move my pupils back and forth?

You will be in a big trouble. Never do that.

What happens if I close my eyes during the surgery?

You simply cannot. Dont worry about that.

OK, anything else?

Nope. Oh, dont be surprised even if the doctor pours cold water into your eyes.

Well, OK. I think I am ready.

I lied down on the strange looking machine. Soon the doctor came and started the surgery. What surgery? It is just like magic, which called LASEK eye surgery.

I have worn glasses for about 13 years. When I was 9, I noticed that I had difficulty seeing the blackboard in the class. Since then I was never able to live without my glasses. It felt as if I became blind without them. It was uncomfortable at first. But, as time goes by, they became just a part of me. Sometimes I washed my face before taking them off, sometimes I fell asleep with my glasses still on my face.

Although I knew that there are some eye surgeries, I was somehow too afraid to take it. Maybe I thought I was completely fine with my glasses. However, as I was seeing some friends of mine took surgeries successfully, I naturally got desire to try it. Well, I couldnt imagine how good it would be if I can throw away my glasses.

So I finally decided to do it. I took the test and as soon as the result came up we settled the date for the surgery. You know what? It was just a day after the test. After coming back home, I downloaded some audio books such as Harry Potter, Twilight and The Lord of Ling etc. Thought it would be enough to spend some time after the surgery.

As the nurse told me, the surgery itself was kinda easy. All I had to do was to focus on the green light in front of me. During the process, the light seemed clear, vague, bright and clear again. It wasnt hurt at all. I felt the water, but it wasnt that bad.

Well, at the time, I thought that was it. I got the surgery and I was done. But, hello? The real start was from there. First of all, it was very hard to keep my eyes open. Opening eyes, which is probably easier than anything, was now so tough and tiring. The light was too bright for me. And I received three types of medicine to put into my eyes like every hour and one type of medicine to eat. They told me not to wash my face and hair for a week, not to wear make-up for 4 weeks, not to drink alcohol for 4 weeks and wear sunglasses for sure for 3 months whenever I go outside. Moreover, all I could do was listening to audio books, the radio or TV. This time, I found that lying down all the day was surprisingly very hard. Trust me. It is probably harder than standing up all the day I guess. I couldnt see bright things like the computer monitor, cell phone and TV. Even now, I have difficulty reading what I have written so far. Yet, still things are much better now. Hopefully after a while, I will be able to get back to my routine life.

OH I CANNOT WAIT!!
