Hi,
I would like to be pro! (Like alot of people right xD.) But I also like learning things and studying. Can you be a pro in go while also trying to go to school and learning? Or for that matter holding a job while trying to get pro?
What do you all think?
Thanks for feedback =D,
Clossius

Well....It won't be easy to be a pro in spite of your 'being-an-American-advantage'. So it would be risky to sacrifice all your study and other stuff to improve your Baduk skill. I'd like to recommend you to keep studying and enter a university first. Then at some point you might be able to take a year or a few years off and come to either Korea or China. (or Japan) It would be better if you can keep doing your major in Korea, Japan or China as an exchange student or whatever. The point is that it's much more difficult to get 'high level' in the states than in the big three baduk nations. Although you can get and access anywhere nowadays through the Internet, there is a limitation in studying online for sure. I wish you a good luck.

A) focus on baduk almost exclusively. You can't expect to reach pro strength unless you devote significant time to the game.
B) are usually young enough where they can spend a lot of time just studying baduk.
but anything is possible
If you dream of becoming a pro, you can achieve it. Work hard and get as educated about the pro world as you can.
Good luck to you!
