Diary
Do you have second-birthday? Haha. Maybe not. But I do. Well, I made that myself. ‘Cause I felt as if I was reborn on that day. Yea, I opened a thick, solid door and got into the new world on November 11, 2004, exactly 5 years ago.
“I resign. Congratulations.”
She offered her hand and grabbed mine lightly. I was silent. She stood up and left right away. My heart was beating so fast and loud that it felt as if it would be exploded in a moment. I closed my eyes. I could not think of anything, but shouting at myself in my heart “Yes. From now on, I am a professional player.”
This is from my old diary. The scene is still vivid in my head. I was in a trance for a while.
My very first official match was the preliminary tournament of KBS Cup. KBS is an acronym for Korean Broadcasting System. It was lightning game, which each player had 10 minutes and 30 seconds’ countdown. The opponent was Song Taekon 8P, one of the highest rankers in Korea.
I still remember that I was really happy to play against him, and didn’t feel sad at all after losing it. Yet, unfortunately, once I got used to the fact I was a pro player too, I began to feel sad by whoever I was defeated including Lee Sedol 9P.
I feel like buying a piece of beautiful rich cheesecake for self-celebration, but I am currently on a diet tragically. Haha;;;
